**JOB DESCRIPTION - BILLING SPECIALIST - (Full-Time - Permanent)**

**ABOUT YOU**

As a Billing Specialist with Jennings Real Estate Corporation, you will play a vital role in maintaining the Company’s cash flow by ensuring that our services are invoiced and collected in a timely manner.

You will be assist in maintaining strong business relationships with the Company’s suppliers and service providers by ensuring that payable invoices are processed and paid without delay.

You will contribute to the accuracy of the Company’s Financial Reporting function by ensuring that transactions are recorded with due care and a heightened attention to detail.

You will be reporting directly to the Controller and indirectly to the Director of Finance. You will also work closely with various internal departments, including property management, leasing and development. You are detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and a problem-solver that is ready for an exciting new challenge

**MAIN DUTIES**
- Coordinate revenue and collections through processing customer billings, account reconciliation, review and follow-up on outstanding receivables;
- Perform full cycle accounts payable, ensuring that all supplier invoices are entered and processed for payment in a timely manner;
- Maintaining accuracy of the general ledger by ensuring that invoice coding is consistent with Company accounting policies;
- Contributing to the internal control environment by ensuring that outgoing payments have the appropriate level of authorization;
- Collaborate across departments to obtain information necessary to ensure completeness and accuracy of billings;
- Other tasks as required by management.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Along with a strong work ethic, superior organizational skills and a keen attention to detail, you bring the following qualifications to the table:

- Relevant experience in a similar role;
- Post Secondary diploma or degree in Finance/Accounting;
- Experience in property management/Real estate is an asset;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
- Experience with Yardi an asset;
- Efficient and effective communication, in a professional manner, with the team and tenants.
