**Logistics Support Services (LSS) Specialist**

As a key member of the Material Control team, the LSS Specialist will report to the Manager, Material Control, and will provide logistic support to parts movement and part management for all Voyageur Inventoried Bases and liaise between Line Maintenance and Management for urgent requirements.

**What does a LSS Specialist do?**
- Follow-up, monitor, and action parts and tools requirements for LMBs/TLMBs, including determining the best methods of transportation of material to and from LMBs/TLMBs.
- Source shipping quotes on behalf of LMB/TLMBs routine requirements and forward requests to purchase items to Procurement, following up on timely procurement of parts/tools.
- Communicate with LSS Shipping Coordinator to determine the best shipping method for AOG requirements and large consolidated shipments.
- Determine daily shipping requirements and communicate and coordinate with Material Control Manager to ensure requirements are met.
- Maintain and update the electronic inventory data, ensure location changes are actioned promptly, and discrepancies are rectified and/or reported without delay. Action critical stock shortages that have potential occupational impact.
- Monitor established processes for shipping, receiving, and issuing of material and make recommendations for process improvement as required.
- Prepare shipping documents, coordinate supply chain procedures, create and track orders to ensure timeliness and quality of deliveries.
- Maintain an inventory of parts for Line Maintenance (Held in Hangar 5).
- Maintain an AOG reporting system to ensure that communication on parts status is maintained and available to Field Maintenance.
- Create and provide cost centers as requested for Repair and Overhaul and subsequent issuing of parts used on cost centers.
- Provide assistance and support to Line Maintenance, LMBs/TLMBS, and Manager, Material Control.
- Observe Voyageur’s safety practices and procedures and comply with all company policies and regulatory requirements.

**What you bring to the table**
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Dangerous Goods Certified.
- WHMIS Certified.
- Capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions.
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Capable of multitasking and making timely operational decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient computer skills with an emphasis on MS Office Suite.

**Location and other Key Details**:

- You will work out of our North Bay head office.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- We offer competitive compensation, pension contributions, and benefits.
- This position requires LSS staff to be “on-call” to support after hour requirements

**Eligibility**

You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
