**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Must possess:

- A post-secondary credential in one the following disciplines: Indigenous Learning, Business

Administration, Marketing or Education;
- A background in a First Nation Education setting would be a definite asset;
- Strong communication skills that include verbal, written, listening and public speaking;
- Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking skills;
- Proven problem-solving skills;
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with First Nations leadership in Nishnawbe Aski Nation and affiliated organizations and partners;
- Ability to travel to remote First Nation communities;
- Computer skills including the ability to operate spreadsheets and word processing programs at a high proficiency level
- Fluency in either Ojibway or Cree would be an asset.

The Admissions Officer will work with representatives from Nishnawbe Aski Nation communities and affiliated organizations and Partners to promote the post-secondary education and training programs offered at Oshki-Wenjack. The Admissions Officer will also assist prospective First Nation students and other learners to achieve or exceed the minimum student enrollment targets for each program. The

Admissions Officer is responsible to the Director of Student Success on a day-to-day basis and is accountable to the President for overall work performance.

The Admissions Officer responsibilities include:

- Establish positive relationships with learners.
- Maintain student files and data base for tracking and follow-up purposes for recruitment, admissions and graduation.
- Work closely with Recruitment, Program Coordinators, and our Financial Aid officer to ensure student enrollment targets members, Education Authorities and Committees, Chief and Councils and other community groups and organizations through regular community visits to build and strengthen working relationships.
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time commensurate with role.
