Buyer

Rolf C. Hagen Inc., a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of leading pet supplies, is seeking for a Buyer to join its Consumables team at our Baie-D’Urfé, Head Office. Reporting to the Purchasing Director, the successful applicant will be responsible for executing demand planning, inventory control and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day purchasing activities within their assigned areas. This includes but is not limited to: replenishment of current inventory, removal of non-moving inventory, insuring replacement, cost accuracy and accrual maintenance

**Responsibilities**:

- Execute procurement activities in the acquisition of assigned products in accordance with established department policies and procedures.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels across multiple warehouses and identify potential stockouts, overstocks and slow-moving products.
- Analyze demand forecasts, sales trends and historical sales data to determine optimal inventory levels for assigned products.
- Coordinate with various departments to manage inventory levels to support promotions and NPDs.
- Monitor shipments, work with suppliers and logistics team to ensure timely deliveries. Expedite shipments to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Resolve shipment discrepancies with supplier.
- Ensure that all documents are accurate before they are submitted to the accounting department.

Qualifications:

- 2 - 5 years of experience in purchasing, inventory planning or related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, able to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
- Advance level Excel, intermediate Word and Outlook skills.
- Knowledge of Tecsys Elite and Analytics would be an asset.
