**Description:
**We are looking for a Procurement Specialist who will oversee the procurement process from start to finish. You will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, supplies, and services required for our construction projects. You will also work closely with other departments to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project timelines, budgets, and specifications;
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure that the best value is obtained;
- Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including the issuance of purchase orders and the receipt of goods and services;
- Work closely with the project management team to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with project timelines and budgets;
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply of materials, supplies, and services;
- Collaborate with other departments, including engineering and finance, to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with business objectives;
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
- Monitor procurement performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives;
- All other related tasks.
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary education in business, supply chain management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of procurement strategies, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to procurement.
- Experience in the construction industry preferred.
