Description: Course Summary: Entrepreneurs and their firms are celebrated by the media and their communities. But what does it take to develop a new business concept? The major emphasis in the course is a real-world hands-on approach to learning what it’s like to pursue an entrepreneurial opportunity. Students will pitch venture ideas, research the market for their product or service, prepare marketing and launch plans, develop financial projections, and prepare a business plan. This course is directly useful for those with an interest in starting a new business or working in a start-up environment; and provides an “entrepreneur’s view” for those planning to work in banking, finance, or consulting.
Qualification: Required experience and education - MBA degree - Previous experience teaching entrepreneurship at a university and mentoring teams of university students working on new venture concepts - Ten years of leadership experience starting, buying and selling technology-based ventures - Ten years of experience in owning a business with international operations and sales - Ten years of experience in angel investing
