Une personne très organisée est recherchée pour aider à la compilation, à l'analyse et à l'affichage de données spatiales et tabulaires afin d'aider les programmes ontariens de Conservation de la nature Canada (CNC). Relevant du directeur des sciences et de l'intendance et travaillant avec l'équipe SIG de l'Ontario, cette personne utilisera des systèmes d'information géographique (SIG) et d'autres logiciels pour produire des cartes à échelles multiples, créer des bases de données, compiler et aligner des ensembles de données, générer des métadonnées, et analyser et présenter des données à l'appui des projets d'administration, de planification de la conservation, de sécurisation, d'intendance et de développement de CNC.
**Principales responsabilités**:
- Produire des cartes et des analyses associées aux plans de conservation des zones naturelles, aux plans de gestion des propriétés, aux communications et à d'autres activités de planification, selon les besoins ;
- Effectuer des tâches SIG spécifiques et la gestion des données liées à la mise à jour des fichiers SIG, des données et du système d'information foncière de la CCN ;
- Aider à la création, à l'interprétation, à la documentation et à l'utilisation des ensembles de données SIG ;
- Aider à l'acquisition, à la compilation, à l'alignement et à la vérification des ensembles de données internes et de tiers ;
- Effectuer d'autres tâches confiées par le directeur des sciences et de l'intendance ou le coordinateur du SIG.
**Compétences et aptitudes**:
- Au moins un an d'expérience avec le logiciel SIG d'ESRI (ArcGIS Pro ou ArcMap), ainsi qu'avec divers logiciels de base de données, de tableurs et de graphiques ;
- Capacité à créer, mettre à jour, manipuler, analyser et documenter des données spatiales et non spatiales ;
- Familiarité avec les données relatives aux ressources naturelles ;
- Aptitude avérée à travailler de manière autonome (avec le souci du détail), à demander de l'aide et des contributions si nécessaire et à travailler au sein d'équipes interdisciplinaires ;
- Avoir la capacité de résoudre des problèmes en utilisant les ressources disponibles ;
- Faire preuve de créativité dans l'acquisition et l'analyse de données spatiales et dans la production de produits tels que des cartes, des graphiques et des tableaux statistiques qui quantifient les progrès de la CCN au fil du temps ;
- Excellentes aptitudes à la communication ;
- L'expérience des unités GPS et des logiciels SIG mobiles est un atout ;
- Une expérience de terrain et de la collecte de données primaires est un atout ;
- Intérêt marqué pour le domaine de l'environnement.
