The Subject Matter Expert - Integration & Customization is responsible to define and manage integration activities for a portfolio of projects and programs. Each portfolio has a dedicated team of IS working on the projects, referred to as a HIVE. The SME leads the team and coordination effort, customizing CAE’s Products, Simulation Infrastructure and Technologies to run on Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) technology to deliver complex training devices to our customers.

In this role, the **Subject Matter Expert - Integration & Customization (D&S)** will be expected to:

- Projects Initiation\Planning
- Responsible for Estimates, Solution and Design reviews, Architecture for complex D&S and LV programs.
- Oversees the design and integration of all systems in conjunction with the HIVE and Functional Technical Leads and engineering.
- Kickoff
- SRR / SBDR / PDR / CDR
- Ensure project Backlogs are created
- Post Mortems and review of hours done
- Identification of cost savings opportunities
- Identify and prepare R&D request
- Projects Execution
- Ensure project Backlogs are kept up to date throughout the project lifecycle
- Propose and contribute to cost saving solutions
- Improving the efficiency of the HIVE
- Optimize the way we execute
- Participate actively in the resolution of complex tasks
- Lead integration of new technologies
- Work with Software Architect to deploy and improve proposed solutions
- Promote best practices and processes
- Configuration management process
- Contributes project improvement back to the reference solution
- Growth and Development of team members
- Be able to highlight the successes\accomplishments of each team member
- Mentoring of new ISs
- Participate in Quarterly meeting with TL to provide retroaction of the HIVE
- Leadership
- CoP improvements
- Participate to the establishment of the CoP objectives
- Recommend improvements coming from the HIVE
- Lead CoP initiatives
- Participate in product improvements
- Promote the deployment of new technologies
- Participate in TL-SME meetings
- Lead HIVE meetings along with I&CL
- Bachelor degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Fluent in both English and French.
