Independent from the Business Lines, the Risk Management Division's (RISQ) mission is to contribute to the development of the SG Group's activity by facilitating the Business Lines’ objectives while maintaining independent oversight, risk evaluation, challenge and monitoring. RISQ in the US supports all the activities in the Americas Region (US, Canada and Latin America), which is almost exclusively corporate and investment banking (GBIS) oriented.

**What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?**

This position is part of the RISQ Chief Operating Officer (COO) department covering the Americas region and is located in Montreal. The COO team provides transversal support to the different teams within RISQ Americas (i.e., credit, market, liquidity, enterprise, operational, etc.).
- The Project Manager supports RISQ’s goal to implement its key projects efficiently and effectively in the achievement of its overall business objectives.
- The Project Manager oversees the completion of complex projects and programs, ensuring product delivery effectiveness and efficiency. The role is responsible for the coordination, tracking, execution and reporting on project plans and milestones. The Project Manager must be able to manage programs transversally and across multiple geographies/locations, as required.
- The Project Manager commits to delivering the end result expected by the sponsor, and organizes and manages his/her projects as efficiently as possible to provide a high quality of delivery with respect to the budget allocated and timeline expected. This person ensures that his/her projects contribute to customer service quality, organizational efficiency and process enhancements.
- The Project Manager ensures effective and transparent governance and escalates issues and risks at the right level and at the right moment.
- The Project Manager is responsible for collaborating with all levels of the organization, ranging from senior management to individual contributors.
- The portfolio of projects will range from projects dedicated to a specific RISQ team to transversal projects impacting different RISQ teams, other support and control functions or business lines, and may be related to business development, process enhancements or regulatory remediation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Take a leadership role in developing and managing the RISQ Americas project portfolio including coordination, tracking, execution and reporting on project plans and milestones.
- Lead key projects and oversee project and change management activities supporting the firm’s overall business initiatives, with a focus on those that have a cross-functional impact.
- Use strong analytical skills in order to assess processes, identify strengths and weaknesses, and suggest new processes with a straight-through-processing approach whenever possible.
- Work closely with the business and technical teams on requirements, and help in the coordination of the design, development and implementation of process and system enhancements.
- Prepare/edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solutions.
- Ensure solutions are developed with an integrated approach and participation from all key stakeholders within RISQ Americas and in other areas of the bank.
- Lead or coordinating testing efforts (test conditions, accurate and complete test plans). Coordinate the training of users on new business processes or systems.
- Ensure that project issues are identified, tracked, reported.
- Enforce cost control and value-for-money on all initiatives for which he/she is responsible.
