Maintenance Personnel

The Maintenance Person is to assist in the overall assurance that their assigned properties are maintained at a high standard of day-to-day operations, maintenance, cleanliness and aesthetics that is expected of Glen Corporation, it’s respective ownership(s) and its Tenants alike. In order to achieve this, it will involve hands on assistance at their designated properties, undertaking various tasks as assigned within their capabilities and a continual vigilance and observation for the properties; addressing any concerns or recommending to their manager on a timely basis.
**Responsibilities**
**Exterior Grounds Site**:
- Ensure general property cleanliness.
- Ensure there is no exterior storage by tenants.
- Report any abandoned vehicles to the Maintenance Personager.
- Maintain and keep clean any garbage enclosure and or compounds.
- Ensure landscape materials are being maintained and in good repair.
- Ensuring snow has been cleared from properties.
- Ensure grounds keeping contractors are performing as required.
- Ensure operation of irrigation monitoring watering based on weather, performing minor repairs, and assisting with start-up and winterization.
- Regular checking of the soils moisture condition by touch to ensure optimum growing conditions for plant materials health.
- Ensure all property signage is in good repair and current.
- Maintain observation of all hard surface areas and ensuring they are in good repair and report any deficiencies.
**Building Envelope**:
- Conduct regular visual inspection of the roof as directed, cleaning and any disposing of any debris on the roof, report any visual defects of the roof, undertaking minor repairs and reporting larger concerns.
- Conduct regular visual inspection of the building walls, windows and doors for any damages or repairs that may be required, undertaking minor repairs and reporting larger concerns.
- Ensure all exterior lighting is operational.
**Building Interior Common Areas**:
- Ensure that all common areas are kept clean and in good repair.
**Tenant Space**:
- Respond to tenancy requests and issues as directed in a professional, polite, courteous manner.
- Assist with new tenancy possessions, meeting with tenant, changing locks, key sheets, obtaining emergency contact info, orientation, premises inspection, deficiencies.
- Assist with tenancy move outs.
**Vacant Space**:
- Vacant units, assist with cleaning of premises and putting back into good repair for leasing.
- Maintain regular housekeeping of vacant units and ensuring economical use of utilities, signing off control sheets upon visitation.
- Ensure all utilities are maintained at mínimal seasonal levels.
**Utilities Maintenance and Conservation**:
- Take utility readings.
- Take temperature logs.
- Take reading of any check meters for utilities.
- Ensure all common areas and vacant premises fixtures are either turned off or set at mínimal levels ensuring mínimal utilities consumption.
**General**:
- Assist in the coordination of any trades and supervision that may be required.
- Take after hour’s emergency calls and respond accordingly.
- General maintenance that may be required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months
**Salary**: $17.55 per hour
