**Position Summary**

Dispatcher oversees and coordinates the daily activities of the dispatch team to ensure timely and efficient transportation services. This role involves managing schedules, resolving operational issues, and providing exceptional customer service while leading a team of dispatchers.

**Location: Oshawa, ON**

**Schedule: Monday to Friday**

**What you will do**
- Dispatch all driver’s as scheduled
- Oversee the assignment of routes and transportation tasks to ensure timely delivery of goods or services.
- Monitor real-time transportation operations and make adjustments as necessary to address delays, cancellations, or other issues.
- Maintain effective communication with drivers and customers to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests promptly and professionally.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective problem-solving and communication.
- Utilize dispatch software and technology to track and manage transportation activities.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, vehicle statuses, and driver performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety standards and transportation laws.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure that drivers adhere to safety protocols.
- Quickly address and resolve operational disruptions or emergencies, including rerouting and rescheduling as needed.
- Implement contingency plans to handle unexpected changes or challenges.

**What You’ll Bring**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; transportation, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role, with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity.
