Tool Crib Assistant

Reporting to the Tool, Fleet and Manpower Manager, this individuals primary responsibility is to ensure mobilization and demobilization of tools, material and equipment transfers in an efficient manner.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Accurately track and monitor our tool inventory, transfers and equipment certifications utilizing our internal database software
- Perform equipment inspections to ensure they are in proper working order
- Perform basic repairs or parts replacements on small tools and equipment
- Fulfill specific equipment and material order requests
- Receive equipment and material deliveries into inventory as they arrive
- Maintain a clean and orderly Tool Crib
- Assist with winter/summer tire swap
- Pick up and drop off vehicles/tools
- Shipping items to sites
- Delivering tools or packages to sites
- Receiving deliveries
- Receive, inspect, and label incoming tools and equipment
- Track and record tool usage and maintenance history
- Perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy
- Coordinate with purchasing department to order new tools and supplies
- The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the positions role within the business unit.
**EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**:
- Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Raymond Reach & Fork lift license Required
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- High School or equivalent
- Ability to communicate well with employees at all levels within the organization - written and verbal.
- Effective computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word and Excel; ability to learn new software
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable with strong work ethic
- Must be a self-starter with proven experience in working independently
- Experience with simple maintenance and repair of construction tools and equipment (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of construction, tools and equipment
- Strong administration and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.);
- Ability to interface with all levels of staff in a professional manner.
