**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the General Manager/ VP of Sales, the Construction Manager will also work closely with Quality Control and Plant Managers, and be responsible for the successful facilitation and completion of TANAS Concrete Construction projects. This includes, but is not limited to, prepping, placing, flatwork, foundations, and other related tasks.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the General Manager and VP of Sales, your responsibilities will include:

- Leading by example in implementation and maintenance of company safety policies
- Facilitate regular safety meetings and conduct near miss and incident investigations
- Abiding by the Health & Safety program to ensure the safety of employees and compliance of contractors and subcontractors
- Ensuring both safety and environmental regulations are met or exceeded
- Coaching, training and developing new employees and subcontractors
- Work with all residential concrete operations, including but not limited to: sales, estimating, pump and place, flatwork prep and place, warranty and service
- Scheduling subcontractors and raw materials
- Efficient use of labor, equipment and materials allocated to each project
- Working with the Sales team, to provide continuous review of all costs compared to revenue to ensure targets are met
- Preparing progress reports for projects
- Dealing directly with customers and the general public
- Managing the day-to-day construction projects, in coordination with the Sales team.
- Development and training of field staff
- Establish and maintain strong customer relations with customers and trades alike
- Purchasing activities
- Ensure a safe work place
- Ensure excellent product quality and customer service
- Ensure excellent relations with employees
- Procurement of personnel, both internal and subcontractor
- Setting up short and long-term plans, to ensure vision of the business unit remains compatible with all other market forces and competitors

- Resolution of employee and customer concerns and disputes
- Analysis and improvement of work processes
- Ensure customer satisfaction with excellent product and service quality
- Monitor and approve employee timecards
- Monitor and approve employee expenses
- Supervise and assist with scheduling
- Supervise and ensure quality and quality control
- Maintain contact with General Contractor style customers
- Work closely with production and delivery personnel

**Qualification Profile**:

- Education and Work Experience:_
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Journeyman Concrete Finisher or other related profession
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in the concrete or Ready Mix industry
- Ability to operate equipment
- Knowledge and Skills:_
- Strong organizational, planning, and scheduling skills
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic understanding of plants, trucks and equipment
- Must have basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems as the job requires
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Must have valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Strong knowledge of residential building process
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Dedication, reliability, and determination to learn and grow the business
- Strong technical knowledge of residential construction
- Can work well independently
