Automotive Parts Manager

Job Summary:
**Duties**:
- Manage the parts inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and availability
- Procure parts from suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms
- Coordinate with technicians to identify parts needed for repairs and maintenance
- Maintain a comprehensive database of parts, including part numbers, descriptions, and pricing
- Develop and implement efficient systems for tracking parts usage and reordering
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize inventory management processes
- Source alternative suppliers as needed to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Oversee the fabrication of custom parts when necessary
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track parts usage and maintenance activities
- Train and supervise a team of parts clerks or assistants
- Move and organize parts within the warehouse
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications preferred
- Proven experience in parts management or a related field
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Proficient in using software for tracking parts inventory and maintenance activities
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers
- Ability to source and procure parts efficiently while adhering to budgetary constraints
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
This position comes with a base salary plus an attractive bonus incentive paid quarterly
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
