**Forbes Bros Ltd.** Is currently looking for an** Operations Specialist - Project Control** to support the Alberta region based out of Acheson, AB.

You will be a critical member of the team, working with our Regional Director for Transmission & Distribution and accountable for all unit PO estimates, charge of estimate PO's, change orders and final invoice creation. This position requires extreme attention to detail and if you don't know how to read blueprints or understand how transmission and distribution work, you will soon

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lives Forbes Bro. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day
- Working with client representatives and Forbes Area Supervisors to create accurate unit price estimate PO's and change orders for submission and approval from client
- Prepare any real time change order requests for submission and approval
- Track and manage change notices and change orders in the database
- Review final work order return data as to meet all client requirements before submission
- Develop final post unit invoice and submit into client portal for approval and payment
- 3rd party invoice approval and tracking
- Monitor Job costs to Estimate PO value and communicate when a Change Order is needed to cover increased costs to the Area Supervisors
- Manage cost tracking for the Regional Director AB T&D. Cost tracking shall include gathering and recording internal and external project and job costs, Invoicing, change order etc.
- Utilization of construction cost management platform (Viewpoint) to manage all project interfaces from invoicing to approvals etc.
- Assisting with continuous improvement projects & other operational tasks as required

**What We Are Looking For**:

- Minimum of 5 (five) years related work experience in construction industry or related fields with understanding of unit price contracts and estimating
- Knowledge of main construction office processes; project set up; change orders, billing; closeout
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills, attention to detail, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Professional demeanor and ability to excel in a team-oriented environment
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Project Management, or related post-secondary program preferred
- Viewpoint Construction Software experience considered an asset
