**How you will create impact**:

- Promoting, underwriting and quoting new business, renewals and endorsements in accordance with the company’s underwriting philosophy, rating, loss ratio objectives, service standards and authority levels.
- Negotiating coverage and rates and participating in underwriting audits.
- Completing necessary documentation in support of the business you handle.
- Developing and maintaining positive constructive relationships with brokers.
- Developing a team-oriented approach to meeting corporate and department goals and objectives; including written premium and profitability objectives.
- Providing guidance, training, and mentoring to less experienced staff.

**To join our team**:

- Minimum of 10 years of Commercial Auto Underwriting experience, with at least 3 years in a Senior/Specialist UW role. A minimum of 3 years-experience underwriting large transportation fleets.
- Knowledge of other province regulations is an asset.
- Working towards getting a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset.
- Proficiency in French is essential to the main duties in this role, including servicing and communicating primarily with majority francophone clients, groups, teams. The essential non-English duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

- You may provide support to clients who are experiencing a personal or financial loss. A high degree of confidentiality and discretion is required.
