**_ Business Support Specialist_**
**How does the role impact the organization?**
As a **Business Support Specialist**, you will perform a variety of functions to support Raymond James’ Institutional Treasury Group. Including hands on experience with the operations side of one of Raymond James’ top producing investment teams. You will also get to work with and support the Co-Heads of the division on key accounts and prospecting strategies.
**What will your role be responsible for?**
- Sending clients purchase / wire confirmations;
- Preparing and sending clients monthly statements / reconciliations;
- Account updates;
- Financial analysis and data entry using already built excel models;
- Prospect list maintenance (ensuring key contacts like CFOs, Treasurers, etc. and their information is updated);
- Preparing RJ research reports to send to corporate clients & prospects;
- Following financial news for equity raises / debt issuances; and
- Book travel arrangements, hotels and transportation for the team as well as clients;
- Answer telephones, route callers, take messages and provide routine information to callers;
- Coordinate meetings with internal staff and make arrangements for meetings with clients;
- Assist in arranging internal and external zoom meetings, conference calls and select events;
- Update, maintain and schedule appointments in team calendars
**Secondary Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Fixing / improving excel workbooks;
- Helping with client service; account updates, opening accounts, etc.;
- Preparing/maintaining marketing material;
- Ad hoc support on special projects.

**What do we expect from you?**
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
**Knowledge of**:
- Excel, Word and Power Point at an advanced level; and
- Financial software’s including Factset and Bloomberg is an asset (not mandatory)
**Skills in**:
- Written and verbal communication in English;
- Written and verbal communication in French is a definite asset (not mandatory); and
- Experience with basic modeling using Excel, and simple data analysis.
**Abilities**:
- Has a strong attention to detail;
- Is passionate and highly motivated;
- Thinks logically, critically and quickly; and
- Can distill difficult concepts into easy-to-understand language.
**Educational/Previous Experience Requirements**:
- Post-secondary education and or relevant industry designations; and
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial services administrative role
- Excellent proficiency with MS Office software, including Excel
- A positive, enthusiastic and energetic attitude

**Salary Range: BC (based on Education, Work Experience, etc) **$65,000-70,000 in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.
