Toronto, Canada U of T Schools Full time

**Igniting Minds to Create Meaningful Impact in the World**

Join us at University of Toronto Schools (UTS), where we ignite the brightest minds and help our students shape a better world. Established in 1910 by the University of Toronto, UTS continues to pursue excellence in teaching and learning through our affiliation with Canada’s top-ranked university. Nestled within the U of T campus, UTS is an inclusive, all-gender student population of just under 700 students in grades 7 through 12. As Canada’s only independent school with a selection process based on a carefully considered identification of merit and potential contribution to school life, UTS graduates can be found in leading university programmes worldwide and in careers that make a difference in an incredible array of impactful fields.

**The Opportunity**:
UTS is looking for a part-time Theatre Technician to support the school’s theatre and music productions, as well as other events that take place at the school’s Withrow Auditorium and the Jackman Theatre. In your role as Theatre Technician you will plan, organise, and perform technical duties to support activities in the school’s Theatre and Auditorium, and any other venues that may be used for public gatherings at UTS. You will also support staff and students in achieving learning goals within the scope of the school theatres and other related venues.

Are you in your element backstage and thrive amidst the dramatic symphony of lights, sound, and action?

Can you manage the technical choreography to bring a 700-seat auditorium alive with ease? Do you excel in orchestrating the perfect scene, ensuring every spotlight and sound cue hits just right? Are you ready to guide the next generation of theatre enthusiasts and ensure every performance is a standing ovation success?

If your dramatic heart and soul sings at the prospect of shaping theatrical magic at University of Toronto Schools, this role is your spotlight moment

The Theatre Technician role requires a highly flexible attitude, undertaking varying roles at different times, as dictated by performance and rehearsal requirements in an educational setting.
