The Opportunity

This is a 12 month contract position. This hands-on role is responsible for the execution of marketing and advertising programs, materials, events, and campaigns for all mediums (traditional, digital, etc.) in support of DP World Commercial & Logistics teams. A strong communicator, you’re passionate about marketing and developing communications that drive results while meeting DP Worlds’ brand. Highly organized, you are adept at managing multiple projects - on time and on budget.

In this role, you will:

- Support in and help execute marketing strategies for DPW programs, campaigns and initiatives. Additionally, oversee campaign and program development specific to the tactical execution of advertising, collateral, tradeshow/events, and promotional materials.
- Provide advisory support and counsel to members of the Commercial and Logistics teams regarding messaging, advertising and communications tactics (e.g.; digital and traditional, print, power-point, customer tradeshows and events). This involves researching the most effective tactics to achieve objectives, as well as media planning, buying and trafficking as required to execute these tactics.
- Participate in the development and implementation of messaging for DPW’s external social/digital content strategy for the Commercial and Logistics teams.
- Participate in the development of the team marketing dashboard, campaign analysis, as well as conduct ongoing data analysis and tracking of metrics against KPIs.
- Participate in the development of strategic communications which includes copywriting for advertising and marketing campaigns.
- Assist in the development of a monthly social media content calendar in support of all marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics for participation in tradeshows and events.
- As other needs arise, provide support to the team as required.

What you bring to the role:

- Post-secondary degree in marketing, business or other relevant field.
- 3+ years of marketing experience in a similar role, including execution of events, advertising, and social media, ideally inprofessional services.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills including excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills for all media.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and work to competing priorities and deadlines.
- Solid negotiation skills to liaise with vendors and suppliers for marketing materials, including printing, promotional products, and event materials.
- Strong commitment to client service excellence with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships throughout the organization and with the port authority, railroads, members’ association, and other key stakeholders.
- Advanced computer literacy skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, Word Press and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
- Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries.
- Fluent in English.
