**Job Description**:
**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Vice-President of Human Resources, this position provides direction to the HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, Health & Safety and HR Systems teams. Located at the Central Office in Saskatoon, SK, the position works in partnership with Director of Human Resources for Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition to provide strategic advice to the business while ensuring the department drives effective attraction, engagement, and retention strategies. The Director promotes the growth and development of First Nations employment by developing and overseeing the implementation of policies, procedures and systems that support positive employee relations in a leading organization.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Provides input to the departments overarching strategies and the allocation of work and performance against goals.
- Leads the design and delivery of HR policies, programs, and procedures to align the workforce with SIGA’s talent strategy and organizational culture.
- Partners with business leaders to ensure a strategic and integrated approach to all program planning, development and delivery.
- Provides feedback, coaching, and mentoring while promoting HR excellence and employee development.
- Demonstrates expert insight into the organization's risks and opportunities within the competitive environment.
- Directs company-wide initiatives that will drive measurable improvement in the overall employee experience.
- Develops strategies to improve employee satisfaction and engagement.
- Negotiates and manages complex dispute resolution, handling confidential issues professionally and appropriately in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Upholds ethical standards and effectively navigates the complexities of litigation when needed.
- Influences others to promote and embrace diversity and inclusion.
- Strategic advisor for SIGA’s Total Rewards including being a member of the Pension Committee.
- Oversees SIGA’s health, safety and wellbeing strategies including disability management.
- Champion for HR technology in the organization while delivering impactful metrics.
- Remains up to date on HR best practices and industry trends in order to identify opportunities for improvement.

**Conditions of Employment**
- The minimum age to work in a casino or any area where gaming can be seen is 19 years of age
- Must possess valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- Some SIGA locations operate in a high sensory environment. You may be required to work in an environment where you will be exposed to tobacco smoke, high noise levels, flashing and blinking lights, and a congested workplace. SIGA adheres to all occupational health and safety regulations and makes every effort to limit the adverse effects of these elements.

**Job Requirements**:
**Education**
- Undergraduate Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce, or related field
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation preferred

**Experience**
- Minimum of 7-10 years previous related work experience in human resources
- Minimum of 3 years of people management experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, influence and resolve conflict
