Communications and Outreach Coordinator

The Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) is the regulatory body that sets standards and enforces the mandatory licensing of condominium managers and management provider businesses. Meeting these standards enhances the integrity of the sector, advances the profession, and provides condominium owners with confidence in the people and companies who manage their important investment.
**About the Opportunity**
The CMRAO is looking for a Coordinator to join its Communications and Outreach team This **one-year contract** is a great opportunity for an individual with previous communications experience who is interested in expanding their skillset by working on a variety of interesting and important projects and building their career in communications. Here is your chance to gain even more hands-on experience working in a small and productive in-house communications department and produce quality work as part of a talented and hard-working team.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
**Social Media Coordination**
- Ongoing development of social media content and publishing of monthly content calendar
- Drafting content that is both compelling and interesting, and creating well-designed graphics
- Reviewing analytics and providing data for reports, as well as observing trends
- Identifying opportunities to improve outreach to relevant stakeholders
- Providing responses to comments received across all platforms and ongoing community maintenance
**Writing and Editing**
- Developing engaging content for articles, blog posts, and video scripts
- Assisting with the coordination and production of internal and external newsletters, and other outreach products for stakeholders
- Reviewing and editing written reports and other documents, as well as conducting background research when necessary
**Graphic Design and Video Production**
- Using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat) to produce graphics and other design materials, and Premiere Pro and After Effects to produce GIFs and videos
- Adhering to the organization’s visual identity standards to ensure that all outgoing communications materials meet established standards
**Communications Team Project Management**
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing translation requests
- Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of communications and outreach activities
- Coordinating printing and production of marketing and communications materials
**Skills**
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Good writing skills and experience with content development
- Previous graphic design knowledge and experience working with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator are requirements for this role
- Basic video production skills and experience with iMovie, Premiere Pro and After Effects is an asset
**Working Conditions**
- Work is performed at minimum two days a week in a typical office environment
- May be required to work extended hours to meet program volume demands
- Occasional travel may be required
- Work is performed in an environment dealing with time pressures and competing priorities
- There is a 3-month probationary period for this position
