**Description**

Overnight Team Support's primary role is to ensure youth safety. You will supervise, engage with, and make sure all needs of the youth are met. Reporting on youth progress and administration is required. Overnight workers are responsible for maintaining safety standards and monitoring youth during quiet hours. During sleeping hours, you will be responsible for updating case management documents, cleaning and maintenance duties throughout the night, and prep for the next day. Before the end of shift, you are responsible for ensuring youth are out of bed and getting ready for school/day programs.

**Qualifications**
- **An unrestricted Saskatchewan driver’s license**
- **Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance**
- Preference will be given to applicants with:

- Conflict Resolution, Crisis Intervention, & DPVS
- ASIST, Mental Health First Aid, & Suicide Prevention Training
- CPR/First-Aid (B), Water Safety, & Food Safe

**Requirements**:

- High energy and a positive vibe
- The ability to remain calm in escalated/crisis situations
- Knowledge and experience in:

- Working with an Indigenous population
- Working with vulnerable populations with challenging behaviours
- Working with youth with varying abilities, cognitive impairments, developmental disabilities & delays, FASD
- Youth currently or previously having experienced exploitation;
- Youth struggling with substance misuse or addictions;
- Youth currently or previously gang affiliated
- Youth centered philosophy, trauma informed care, & strength based approaches
- De-escalation & crisis response
- Administration, documentation, and databases

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- **Youth Advocacy & Support**- Medication administration as directed
- Monitor youth during quiet hours
- Knowing the whereabouts and ensuring the safety of the youth overnight
- Checking in with youth if they return home past curfew
- Mediating between youth when conflicts occur
- Managing crisis situations
- Being a positive role model and mentor
- Preparing lunches for the next day
- Ensuring youth are out of bed and getting ready for school or day programs
- Transportation to school as required

- Communicate with evening staff and morning staff at **EVERY** shift change regarding
- Incidents & Disclosures
- Medications
- Youth Whereabouts
- Any additional pertinent information or emergent situations
- Completing all logs and designated documentation before end of **EVERY** shift
- Casenotes
- Journals
- Communication Logs
- Medication Administration Records
- Incident and Disclosure Reports
- **Program Development & Administration**
- Attend regular staff meetings
- Maintain a working knowledge of current Agency procedures and guidelines
- Completing night-time cleaning checklist
- Maintain Safety Standards
- Complete regular fire drills
- Check smoke detector
- Safety check the premises
- Report findings to the Case Manager
- Other tasks as assigned by your Case Manager: e.g. supporting SCP fundraising/social entrepreneurial initiatives etc.
