**Nature and Scope**

United Gulf Developments is a Halifax-based company responsible for the planning, construction & development of projects ranging from subdivisions & commercial plazas to high-rise mixed-use developments with residential, commercial, and retail tenants, to traditional apartments.

We are currently hiring an **AC and Refrigeration Technician** to join our team. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- install new air conditioning systems according to specifications and building codes
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters checking refrigerant levels and inspecting electrical components.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning AC units including identifying and replacing faulty parts
- Respond to service calls in a timely manner and troubleshoot issues effectively
- Keep accurate record of work performed and maintenance schedules
- provide excellent customer service, communicating with clients and reporting to the property manager
- stay up to date on industry codes, standards and best practices.

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- **Red seal certification in air conditioning is a MUST.**:

- proven experience as an AC and refrigeration technician for a minimum of 3 years
- strong technical skills and knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- ability to maintain and repair other appliances such as fridges, stoves, dishwashers and microwaves
- ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals
- excellent troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract is a must
- own vehicle and tools preferred
