Warehouse Supervisor - Full Time

The Warehouse Supervisor plays an important leadership role in the warehouse and logistics departments.

The Warehouse Supervisor works in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and is responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving activities in the department. This person gives direction, trains new employees and directly supports the Logistics Manager.

Job Responsibilities
- Contributes to a healthy work environment, while maintaining high food safety and health and safety standards
- Oversees and directs the daily work in support of the Logistics Manager
- Completes all shipping and receiving documents
- Inventory control/cycle counts
- Manages reports related to shipping department
- Material planning in ERP system
- Enter and expedite purchase orders
- Champions and upholds department standards as a role model for other employees
- Ensure all equipment is operating properly, takes appropriate actions to correct any issues
- Where needed, perform general labour tasks in the shipping area
- Take action to correct any issues and to make improvements
- Leads the department to meet targets and goals while maintaining a healthy and safe work environment
- Maintains productivity the meets/exceeds standards
- Dedicated to creating a high-quality product that consistently meets product specifications
- Leads and contributes to the team and the whole facility in a positive way
- Other responsibilities as required

**Requirements**:

- University/College diploma in related field and 5 years of supervisory experience in shipping and receiving or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to lead and supervise and schedule staff for the department
- Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Ability to work with others collaboratively
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience leading teams or projects strongly desired
- Manufacturing and continual process improvement experience
- Valid forklift license
- Experience working in ERP systems specifically with inventory control
- Strong computer skills
