**Program Overview**

YWCA Halifax is excited to be launching our new Hub for Evaluation, Research and Education (HERE) Services consulting enterprise. HERE Services delivers on YWCA Halifax's mission by helping to form progressive social policies, training and education programs, and research that are based in the expertise and core values of the YWCA. We are seeking a multi faceted business development lead to help us get on our feet

Although YWCA Halifax has already been delivering projects under HERE Services, you will be the first hired specifically to develop this initiative. You enjoy making something from nothing and forging a path where there is none.

You will receive support, guidance, and encouragement from the YWCA senior leadership, finance, and communications teams. We will work with you on this and support your success.

**You Are**:

- Highly organized and able to deliver on multiple competing deadlines and timelines
- Detail oriented and know that small things matter
- Committed to excellence in service and product
- Understand the flow of customer engagement and retention
- Strong written and verbal communicator
- Understand budgeting and financial management
- Familiar with contract development and management
- Comfortable in diverse industries, including private, government, and non-profit
- A natural networker who is well connected in Halifax
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, inclusion

**You Will**:

- Launch HERE Services by developing and launching our website and social platforms
- Create and print collateral materials
- Develop and write policies and procedures, including confidentiality procedures, customer service contracts, intellectual property, and training packages
- Develop financial policies and procedures, including cost structuring, business re-investment
- Seek additional funding for business start-up
- Network and business development together with YWCA team members
- Have YWCA approved and included in relevant procurement lists
- Identify roster of potential subcontractors and price structures

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Familiarity with business start ups, the management consulting industry, training and/or research contracting is a strong asset.
