Physical Security Specialist

We are looking for a Physical Security Specialist to support our client and be based in Gatineau and Ottawa, Canada.
**About the team and location**:
This position is specific to the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project as a RHEA consultant to the CENTRUS Consortium.
Reporting to RHEA’s Director, Service Delivery, this position operates in a hybrid environment (with on-site requirements on client site in Ottawa). Internal to the Project, you will report to the CENTRUS Lead.
**Tasks and Activities**:
The scope of work will include:
- Attending in-person meetings as required by the Project.
- Participating in regular design meetings with CENTRUS design disciplines (architecture, electrical, mechanical, landscape, etc.).
- Participating in regular design meetings with the federal Security Working Group.
- Developing security requirements and/or designs addressing multiple domains.
- Supporting the development of Security Design Briefs specific to the Project.
- Gathering, documenting and consolidating physical security business, technical and functional requirements.
- Providing advice and guidance on concept designs, preliminary designs, detailed designs and cost estimates.
- Providing input on industry standards, best practices and accepted approaches for the development and implementation of security mitigations.
- Reviewing architectural, electrical and structural designs and construction documents for requirements compliance and provide feedback to the project teams.
- Providing site inspection services.
- Providing support to the preparation of procurement documentation, procurement plans, researching available technologies, providing detailed option analysis and tracking procurement activities.
- Developing approaches for consultation with key stakeholders and facilitating these consultations.
- Reviewing, understanding and providing meaningful comment on a broad scope of technical and business deliverables.
**Skills and Experience**:
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- A minimum of ten years’ experience in physical security.
- Experience developing security designs and/or requirements.
- Experience developing business, technical, and functional security requirements.
- Able to obtain Canadian Secret Level Security Clearance.
The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
- PSP or CPP Certification from ASIS International.
