The Ministry of Health (the Ministry) has overall responsibility for ensuring that quality, appropriate, cost effective and timely health services are available for all British Columbians. Working in conjunction with health authorities, health care providers, agencies and other organizations, the Ministry guides and enhances the Province’s health services to ensure that British Columbians are supported in their efforts to maintain and improve their health.

The Knowledge Mobilization unit supports the effective use of evidence and organizational knowledge in Ministry initiatives, in alignment with the Ministry’s Research and Knowledge Management Strategy, and Innovation Strategy. This includes the Ministry Innovation Hub, Innovation Pathway Program, and Knowledge Exchange events.

The Ministry’s Health Innovation Hub is a physical and virtual space that provides resources and is a new way to work together to develop policy and creative solutions through collaboration and co-creation. The Hub helps drive change in the way that Ministry staff work and create a dynamic environment that encourages the flow of people and ideas. The ecosystem of supports within the Health Innovation Hub will allow the Ministry to leverage research, evidence, and data in our work. It allows the Ministry to work with partners to harness our collective knowledge, effectively respond to external demands, and find innovative solutions to new and existing challenges.

**Job Requirements**:

- Some post-secondary education and/or training in communications, business administration, public administration, project management (preferred) or a related field; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related experience includes:

- Experience providing project management and coordination services for assigned projects.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with partners.
- Comprehensive use of a variety of software programs including MS Teams, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Preference may be given to applicants with any of the following:

- 2 or more years related experience.
- Education or training in project management.

Preference will be given to applicants who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit).
- In recognitions of the critical importance to this role of a lived understanding of Indigenous communities, history, values and cultural competencies, the above preference statement will be applied in the final ranked order for those who self-identify as Indigenous throughout the hiring process.
