**The Role**
- As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the work of one of our new Engineering pods. You will provide technical guidance and leadership through the implementation and delivery of large technical projects. You are comfortable working with code as well as growing individual contributors.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Mentor members of the team and level them up in both technical and human skills
- Lead by example and serve as a role model for our high engineering standards and bring consistency across engineering practices (code reviews, coding standards, testing strategies etc.)
- Live and promote our Plooto leadership principles
- Create a strong collaborative work environment with product, UX, QA and DevOps to improve our systems capabilities and accelerate its scalability and growth
- Scope team work items for duration, quality and cross functional dependencies for the team in agile ceremonies
- Collaborate across different pods to deliver new functionality to the highest standards and within deadlines
- Take full ownership of your team deliverables which includes but is not limited to code reviews, escalations resolutions and features deliverables
- Participate in design, implementation and delivery of new features and products to production
- Encourage practices that support long-term sustainability and maintenance of our codebase
- Design experiments to measure business and user experience improvements
- Influence decisions to enable effective and delightful developer experience building payment related products
- Encourage creativity and experimentation

**Your Background**:

- Prior experience leading small to medium sized teams
- Proven track record of delivering features and projects
- Passionate technologist with a desire to expand their knowledge and skill as well as share and mentor team members.
- Strive for continuous improvement and belief in collective success.
- Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
