**Qualifications**

Under the responsibility of the Planning and Development Manager, the research officer / CDP coordinates and supervises the technical production relating to the development of the territory and the planning of mobility. He is responsible on a daily basis for the smooth running of the projects for which he is responsible and ensures that the associated production deadlines and budgets are respected. he positions himself as a technical referent in his area of expertise and oversees the development of expertise within the team.

**Role and responsibilities**

**Technical Responsibilities (70%)**:

- Appropriates the content of the missions to be carried out, re-clarifies them with the project coordination teams and the clients if necessary;
- Ensures that the objectives of the missions for which he is responsible are achieved;
- Supervises the realization of diagnostics attractive to mobility and land use planning;
- Supervises the development of concepts of urban insertion of transport systems and spatial organization of urban mobility projects;
- Participates in project follow-up and progress meetings with customers and partners and leads them if necessary;
- Provides technical advice, prepares periodic reports and performs any related work, as required;
- Acts as an advisor on all questions relating to his field of expertise and develops his general knowledge of the urban transport market in Canada (metro, tramway, bus, bicycle, multimodal interchange hubs).

**Business Responsibilities (20%)**:

- Technical manager of the offers assigned to him (coordination and production of methodologies, costings, work schedules, etc.);
- Development of strategic partnerships around planning and development;
- Contribution to the development of the team's service offer in planning and development;
- Representation of the company with its customers, prospects and partners;
- Monitoring the evolution of mobility and planning tools.

**Managerial Responsibilities (10%)**:

- Develop the skills of the team in mobility planning and land use planning;
- Supervise the load plan of the assigned project team;
- Create development opportunities

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, transportation planning, engineering, urban planning or land use planning applicable to the urban mobility sector, in architecture or related field;
- Min 5 years of experience (flexible) in transport planning and land use planning or in mobility studies;
- Experience in business development
- Available for business trips to Canada and the United States occasionally
- Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ) or the Order of Urban Planners of Quebec (OUQ), or eligible (an asset);
- Experience in the railway sector (An asset)
- Fluency in French (spoken, read and written);
- Fluency in English (spoken, read and written), an asset;
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
- Ability to work in a team in a multidisciplinary environment;
- Ability to demonstrate leadership;
- Ability to organize and plan work;
- Methodical, rigorous and proactive;
- Creative and innovative spirit.
