Blackbird Security Inc. is looking to hire an **Engagement Coordinator **, in **Vanoucer, BC.**

As the **Engagement Coordinator,** your role is key in overseeing employee engagement through directly supporting our National Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Manager, along with our management teams on key tasks and projects.

**Role Summary**

You will possess very strong, professional communication skills and refer to yourself as a “people person”. This role will involve a lot of moving parts, including being part of many different projects that will require you to have exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

Ideally, you will be fully-versed in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suites, as well as open to learning new software and systems. This is a full-time position, working from our Vancouver, BC office from Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.

**Job Duties**:

- Cultivate and promote positive relationships within the Company (all levels of staff).
- Regularly calling employees, including security and non-security staff, to do staff check
- ins and get feedback.
- Taking on a leadership role in different committees within the Company, such as the social committee, green team, and others.
- Planning and hosting various social events within the company.
- Manage and administer a variety of employment surveys.
- Prepare regular reports based on data gathered from staff check-ins and employment surveys.
- Collect feedback, identify issues, and provide improvement strategies and suggestions for best practices.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement engagement plans, programs, and relevant training materials.
- Lead different training sessions, such as National Orientation and ad-hoc or regular staff training.
- Manage office communication channels (Slack, etc.)
- Participate in employee recognition programs. -Update company Organizational Charts.
- Assist in promoting the Company’s mission and services through a variety of channels, such as social media, the monthly newsletter, and outreach/recognition programs, etc.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and best practices in employee engagement
- Serve as a resource to staff on various issues, such as DEI, policy and process questions, and general concerns.
- Liaise with the HR Team, Payroll Team, and Recruiting Team to solve staff inquiries
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with employees.

**Job Requirements**:

- Related experience or education in HR, People Operations, or Engagement is required.
- Prior experience in administrative roles is a benefit.
- Experience in the security industry is an asset, but not necessary.
- Some post-secondary education is required.
- Must be able to work from our Vancouver, BC office.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Comfortable learning and using new software and systems. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- An outgoing and social personality is best-suited to this role.
