As the Ink room Manager, you will own the Ink room. Your leadership capabilities will provide stability and direction to the staff while building the department to suit the ever-changing needs of CBN. Your ability to organize and maintain varying levels of inventory are key to the department’s success. Having the strong communication skills developed throughout your career will allow you to work with the various departments that will rely on you and your team.

**What Will You Do?**

You will have a wide array of duties that you will oversee. They include:

- Determine necessary inventories of ink based on ink demand provided by scheduling and product managers
- Initiate ink requisitioning based on inventories and forecasts
- Manage colour matching activities of the department, manage ink mixing activities of the department
- Accept ink deliveries into inventory
- Manage existing inventory of inks
- Perform quality checks of incoming inks
- Support ink production departments in usage of ink
- Provide adjustments to ink based on press performance
- Facilitate the support of external ink suppliers to CBN’s print department in regard to ink problems
- Provide Accounting Department with inventory and usage data
- Manage all aspects of staffing responsibility of Ink Department staff including attendance, performance management, disciplinary and development
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety, Environmental and Security regulations
- Participation in MRM, PRM and production management meetings

You have leadership qualities and experience in a manufacturing setting that will allow you to navigate the complexities of a high volume and unionized environment. You are familiar with inventory control measures especially if it has had anything to do with print or ink
