Corporate Sanitation Manager

Reporting to the Senior Director Operations, this role will be responsible for the corporate sanitation program working with the key stakeholders to ensure program compliance and overseeing the plant sanitation functions, supporting quality and sanitation improvement processes within the plants. The position will provide technical support to a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders including plant sanitation teams, external sanitation contractors, sanitation chemical suppliers, QA and Purchasing teams.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for the execution of the long-term plan (LTP) of the company surrounding the Total Quality Management and high-quality sanitation practices for both products and programs by continuously identifying areas of improvement in the efficiency and productivity of the current processes
- Manage the allocated budget through the identifying of new cleaning equipment or product purchases or repairs to ensure the highest quality of sanitation for Give & Go production lines
- Provide leadership and direction to the department as a career coach, which includes, but is not limited to identifying training needs, providing opportunity for personal growth, assuring adherence to company policies and practices, managing absenteeism, providing coaching and assisting in disciplining should coaching be ineffective
- Helps develop and implement strategic sanitation program, policies, plans and processes to ensure that sanitary performance meets standards as well as supports Food Safety requirement towards regulatory compliance
- Works alongside Quality Assurance Manager’s to schedule and coordinate internal and third party QTM audits for the plant, working to establish procedures, standards and policies relating to quality assurance and sanitation, work with key individuals on Quality Assurance team to maintain audit practitioner certifications
**Recipe for Success**:
- Completion of education in Food Science or a related field preferred
- Knowledgeable in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)
- Proficient with office 365, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams
- Ability to run analytics and use database systems to create reports
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, an approachable demeanor and an active listener
- Demonstrated leadership skills with an effective ability to coach, develop and mentor people
- Working knowledge of Ministry of Labour and WSIB
- Strong knowledge of CFIA/Health Canada/ OMAFRA/FDA/USDA/GFSI Benchmarks Auditing an asset
- Ability to manage and communicate sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion;
- Excellent ability to focus and prioritize in a fast-moving environment
- Understanding and managing cost of quality
