**ANALYST 2 - RCAP SECTION, INORGANICS DEPARTMENT**

**This is a Full-Time position with Medical Benefits and Retirement Savings Plan**

**As an**
**ANALYST 2**
**, your main responsibilities are**:
Performs routine analysis of water samples for pH, alkalinity, conductance, fluoride and turbidity.

**Key Accountability/Responsibilities**:

- Following Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensuring that working records are completed and raw data is appropriately labelled.
- Maintaining general housekeeping of laboratory and workstations.
- Preparing and cleaning glassware required for sample analysis.
- Preparing samples, sub-samples and reagents. Ensuring samples, extracts and standard solutions are properly labelled and stored in the appropriate location.
- Performing simple analysis, including operation of balances and meters.
- Maintaining up to date maintenance records for instrumentation.
- Meet quality and turnaround time specifications required by the client and ensure samples are analyzed within hold time requirements.
- Providing supervisor with updates on workstation status including advance notification of any delays.
- Maintaining control charts as per QA Manual requirements, monitoring for failure to meet tolerances and consulting with Supervisor regarding corrective actions.
- Availability to work overtime and weekend work when required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

- You have a Technical diploma (required), B.Sc. preferred
- You have 1 to 3 years of experience in related area of testing
- You have knowledge of standard operating procedures and instrumental techniques

- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
