**Duties**:
The incumbent, reporting to the Senior Advisor, Communications and Government Relations, is responsible for managing, coordinating, and supporting GR and Comms activities for the college. This includes coordinating work and projects that help advance the College’s strategic communications and government relations objectives as outlined in the college strategic plan. This role represents the college at events and announcements, in sectoral and provincial meetings, material production, and is required to coordinate and implement activities that build structure and stability to the college’s GR functions. They will regularly liaise with sectoral peers, members of all levels of governmental departments, industry, and community partner organizations, and will support growth areas (International education, Belonging and EDI, mental health for students) with ongoing and increasing content needs, coordination, and copywriting.

With direction from the Senior Advisor, this role will manage longer-term, strategic content projects and perform follow-up and analysis on content engagement, amplification, and success including monthly data analysis and tracking. They will be required to implement internal communications plans developed collaboratively with departments and will require project and change management skills along with experience implementing, managing, and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously with professional results. These projects will include coordinating information and developments related to confidential, emerging government priorities and policies.

**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**:
A minimum of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in communications, journalism, social sciences, or similar.

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a communications/copy writing/content management environment.

**Other Required Qualifications**:

- Excellent verbal/written communication skills - must have superior command of the English language and grammar, with demonstrated ability to write clearly and creatively.
- Project and/or event management experience and ability to research/analyze multiple sources of information.
- Experience meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure to complete multiple tasks

**Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements**:
Travel may be occasionally required between campuses. Carrying light to medium objects under 50lbs may be required. The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location or work temporarily from a remote location with reliable internet access, as approved by the College and in accordance with the college’s Telework Policy.

**Salary & Terms**:

- **Admin Group**:Pay Band 9: $68,911 - $86,140 per annum, commensurate on education and experience. In addition to the salary, the position is eligible for pay for performance.
