Group Fitness Instructor

Squamish, Canada Mountain Fitness Center Full time

Mountain Fitness Center is looking for an energetic and knowledgeable group fitness instructor. Our class instructors play a fundamental role within our team, providing high quality instruction through a variety of entertaining, educational, and fun classes while promoting fitness and positive self-esteem in a safe environment.

*Please note that instructors are paid on a per-class basis.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop positive relationships with class participants by teaching a variety of challenging and entertaining group fitness classes
- Educate and assess class participants on correct form and alternative moves during the fitness routine, providing modifications as needed
- Attentively listen to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes
- Clean and organize studio space after each class

**Qualifications**:

- 1-year minimum experience as a personal fitness trainer and/or group fitness instructor
- Must have Certification through a nationally recognized organization
- Must have CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to develop strong relationships with members
- Solid knowledge of biomechanics and exercise physiology
- Motivated and passionate about health and fitness
- Reliable and punctual with excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and afternoons

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour
