What to Expect
- Tesla is looking for an experienced Material Planner to manage the procurement of materials and planning production, in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This person will also manage inventories while also coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

What You’ll Do
- Responsible for the daily overview, scheduling, and execution of all kits to the kitting team, using the department kitting planner and directives from project managers.
- Support project managers by using multi-level BOM tools to accurately submit kitting requests, as well as requests for additions and change notices
- Liaison with the kitting associates, project managers, purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing technicians to ensure the on-time delivery of kits and parts to the floor
- Walk the floor to analyze material requirements and initiate appropriate part distribution to each job
- Participates and provide credible updates on various parts/jobs during weekly meetings
- Daily update and maintenance of parts expedite tracker
- Daily completion and submission of shipment request forms (SRF) to logistics department for outbound shipments
- Assist with stock transfer between plants
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers to update and direct job status reports
- Analyze and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduces costs where possible on the production floor and the kitting department
- Monitor and support the tracking and tracing of all B/O parts in and out of the facility as per job requirements
- Maintain a strong floor presence to evaluate and respond to various assembly kitting needs
- Monitor parts component status after shipped to job sites and responding both adequately and timely to any situation that may be impending to installation of the delivered kits
- Supports and maintains departmental continuous improvement plans
- Various other departmental task assigned by management from time to time

What You’ll Bring
- College Diploma and 5 years experience in material planning or related field preferred
- 6 years experience working in manufacturing and warehouse environment
- Previous experience in engineering field an asset
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with different departmental levels
- Solid ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities based on the needs of the kitting department and the organization.
- Previous assembly/production planning, production coordination, material handling and order fulfillment experience required
- Strong working knowledge of various Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Teams, excel and Word
- Positive attitude and the ability work well with team members
- Solid experience and knowledge using RF scanners and order picking using a handheld device
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid ability to multitask on various fronts

High level of accuracy within a fast-paced environment.
