This position is responsible for overseeing all warehousing operations in accordance with Health & Safety and GMP regulations and managing all warehouse personnel. In addition, this position will be responsible for facilities maintenance and security requirements through contracted services. This position currently has multiple direct reports as salaried Warehouse Coordinators and unionized Material Handlers.
- **The role**:_

**Warehouse and 3PL Management**
- Responsible for ensuring day-to-day warehouse tasks are performed efficiently and effectively
- Prompt receipt and put away of materials, both physically and in ERP system (X3)
- Transfer of materials (daily picks) to production, on time and as ordered ensuring zero downtime
- Picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders, including e-commerce orders
- Clearing out leftover materials from production returns area and promptly transferring them back to the warehouse locations
- Recording of all material movement transactions promptly in X3 to maintain system integrity
- Wrapping and putting away of finished goods as they come off the production lines
- Ensure extremely high inventory accuracy of all stock at Ferrier and 3PLs - item, lot, quantity, location
- Ensure timely and accurate inventory synchronization with the 3PLs
- Ensure all GMP and Taste of Nature Foods Inc. (TONFI) work practices are always followed and reinforced.
- Work with the Supply Chain Planner to ensure effective warehouse space management and the transfer of goods to the 3PL facility as required.
- Ensure high quality of transactions involving 3PLs - pricing, product quality, quantity, lot management, & availability
- Meet 3PL leaders monthly to review our direction and our mutual performance and report to Supply Chain Manager
- Manage the warehouse operations within the confines of the approved annual budget
- Develop a list of KPIs needed for warehousing, and determine the best way to measure them and frequency
- Take actions to demonstrate continuous improvement and lead process development for documenting and improving warehouse functions
- Create swim lane diagrams as training and communication tools and secure support from other key leaders at TONFI and get official approval.
- Assist the warehouse coordinators in their day-to-day tasks, when required
- Ensure timely execution of cycle counts and lead the annual physical count process.
- Look for ways to eliminate clutter and optimize space - some higher bays for high pallets, shorter bays with wire mesh and no pallet for few cases, etc.

**Facilities Maintenance & Building Security**
- Manage building security by ensuring all access points are secure, the alarm system is functional, and all outside doors are in good working order.
- Look after any facility maintenance requirements such as wall, floor and racking repairs, plumbing needs, roof leaks, HVAC repairs, waste management, lighting needs, etc.
- Manage the 3rd party contractors engaged in the above listed work.
- Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

**Supervisory Responsibilities & Team Management**
- Hire and train staff on required processes
- Monitor staff performance on an individual and team basis
- Ensure warehouse staff levels meet workload requirements
- Make recommendations to the SC Manager on resource requirements
- Recommend and get approval for staff changes
- **You offer**:_
- Post-Secondary education in Supply Chain warehousing & logistics from a Canadian College or University
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Warehouse Supervisor in a Food Grade warehousing facility
- Experience with facilities maintenance & management duties
- Demonstrated success managing inventory
- Working knowledge of logistics, including carriers, shipping policies and procedures
- Operates forklifts in compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
- Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities
- Team player who works productively with wide range of people
- Judgment and decision-making ability
- Problem-solving and analytical ability
- Superior organizational skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience implementing and maintaining safety initiatives
- Able to perform business math (basic algebra, compute rate, ratio, etc.)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, inventory/warehouse management and distribution software

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
