**Job Purpose**:
Reporting to the Manager, Pricing and Promotions, this role will be an integral member of a high-profile, cross functional-strategic initiative focused on optimizing the effectiveness of Rexall’s promotional activities. The Pricing & Promotions Analyst acts as consultants to key Category Management partners, providing fact-based insights and recommendations to improve total sales, margin and overall promotions' effectiveness.

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Will be responsible for accurately forecasting, tracking, and reporting the sales, margin, and promotional impact and effectiveness across a range of front of store categories (Cosmetics, Convenience, Beauty and Health etc).
- Work directly with Category Managers and Directors to optimize promotional sales and make recommendations based on trends, targets, promotional strategies
- Provide proactive recommendations on sales-, margin-, and basket-driving promotions
- Monitors and analyzes promotional activities to determine efficiency, accuracy, and performance relative to forecast and identify trends
- Analyze data to calculate baseline sales and margin and estimate incremental sales and margin for promotional within a set of categories.
- Own real-time consolidated forecast; measure and provide reporting relative to category targets and other metrics
- Ad hoc analysis on promotional response to categories
- Support the Manager, Pricing and Promotions to develop and implement product price strategies including segment strategies for the various markets and channels.
- Download and organize baseline price information, analyze and report on inconsistencies, and finds opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through pricing strategies.
- Build various reports such as daily trend report, ad reports, period end reports, etc. for various customers in Merchandising.
- Perform weekly updates to Ad Reporting Tool and develop promo reports on ad hoc basis.
- Update monthly scorecard with new data and present results to team to show performance year over year.
- Perform other duties as assigned including ad-hoc analysis on methods to optimize pricing and promotions through market and pricing strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group ULC

**Knowledge, skills and experience**:

- 2-3 year College Diploma in a related field.
- Analytical and strong attention to detail: including; exploring data, discovering patterns, relationships, anomalies and trends.
- Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Customer-focused and a great teammate.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel. Access is preferred.

**Context and Environment**:
Main liaison for the Merchandise/Marketing division, with the responsibility of ensuring that all analytical requirements are met by collaborating with various internal departments within Rexall Pharmacy Group ULC and any external vendors or outsource partners.
