**Basic Function**:
Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company, located in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a full-time Pricing Analyst. Reporting to the Team Leader Planning, Performance, and Pricing the incumbent is an integral part of the Pricing team for the Lubricants & Specialties (L&S) division. The Pricing Analyst will support our Sales and Marketing teams by providing robust pricing analysis enabling the L&S business to capture the full value of our product service offering in the marketplace. This position acts as a key point of contact between Sales Services and other stakeholder groups (Sales and Marketing) to ensure product pricing is positioned to align with our strategic objectives. The Analyst supports the Sr. Pricing Analyst with ongoing price performance analysis.

**Job Duties**:

- Support the development, implementation and execution of core pricing processes, policies and tools.
- Assist in the coordination, calculation and implementation of scheduled price change mechanism.
- Collect and report weekly/monthly pricing-support data.
- Support the implementation of general and product-specific price changes.
- Analyze, measure and monitor pricing performance; identify opportunities, perform risk assessments and develop recommendations for pricing actions.
- Provide ad hoc analytical support to Lubricants’ global sales force for pricing decisions and negotiations related to sales contracts and business opportunities.
- Develop and update pricing decision tools to ensure that prices are set consistent with Lubricants’ objectives and marketing strategies.
- Identify and implement pricing process improvements.
- Support internal and external pricing related audits.
- Complete ad hoc analysis, reporting and presentation preparation (on behalf of Sales) as required.

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion

**Experience**:

- Experience using Microsoft Office suite
- 1-2 years of related analytical experience
- Experience in sales, marketing, finance or pricing is an asset

**Education Level**:

- University Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field

**Required Skills**:

- Advanced Excel knowledge (Vlookups, IF statements, Pivot Tables, and other formulas)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to review, understand, identify irregularities, draw insights, and make recommendations from large sets of data
- Communication Skills - the ability to competently deal with people at all levels of the organization both written and verbal. Ability to tailor communications from informal group setting to formal sales leadership team settings
- Time Management/Prioritization - can work on multiple tasks with time sensitive deadlines.
- Teamwork/Interpersonal Savvy - the ability to work effectively with various cross functional teams to meet common objectives.
- Initiative - the ability to find, identify, and act on opportunities with mínimal supervision.
- Attention to Detail - the ability to provide high quality and accurate analysis.
- Continuous Improvement - the ability to identify and drive for improvements in all organization processes and eliminate low value added work.
- Business Acumen - the ability to understand the business processes and value drivers
- Non-authoritative Leadership Skills - the ability to influence key stakeholder groups in maintaining alignment to pricing processes and policies.

**PREFERRED SKILLS**:

- Working knowledge of lubricant industry and price drivers would be an asset.
- Working knowledge of the fundamentals of pricing would be an asset
- Ability to read / write macros (VBA/Python) would be an asset.
- Product costing knowledge in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Working knowledge of SAP, BW, PowerBI/Tableau would be an asset.

**Work Conditions**:

- This is currently a hybrid role with 3 days in office and 2 days work from home
