OVERVIEW

The Maternal Newborn and Child (MNC) Unit department is currently seeking a permanent full time Psychologist to work in our Eating Disorder Outpatient Program at the Michael Garron Hospital, a division of Toronto East Health Network. This program includes an interdisciplinary outpatient clinic and an intensive outpatient program called “NourishED Pathways”.

EDUCATION
- PhD in Psychology, or working towards PhD and will graduate within 6 months.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario

QUALIFICATIONS
- Current experience with children youth and families in the area of outpatient and/or

Treatment.
- Eating Disorders-specific experience an asset.
- Broad experience in an acute psychiatric setting, preferred.
- Experience in the delivery of evidence-based family therapies such as FBT and

experience with CBT-E, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and/or Motivational (MI/ME) therapies will be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment and collaborate with others in assisting with the delivery of services.
- Adheres to the confidentiality policy for sensitive patient data and information.
- Strong communication, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed when dealing with difficult patients or situations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment with simultaneous demands.
- Must be an able and willing worker, capable of communicating clearly with patients, colleagues, management and the community.
- Demonstrated clinical, research and organizational skills.
- Strong judgement and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to client service and satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated family centered philosophy of care provision.
- Demonstrated ability to welcome change and manage it innovatively.
- Good work and attendance record required.
