**Position Description**:
We are currently looking for a Neuropsychologist to join the department of Psychology to assess and diagnose cognitive, behavioural, and social-emotional problems associated with developmental and neurological conditions and disorders within the context of the child's developmental history and family functioning. The neuropsychologist will primarily work with school-age children and adolescents with a variety of complex medical conditions in the areas of neurology (e.g. epilepsy, inflammatory syndromes, stroke), hematology/oncology, genetics/metabolics and cardiology.

**Here’s What You’ll Get To Do**:

- Work collaboratively as a member of the health care team.
- Complement and extend the health care team's ability to meet the psychosocial needs of the child and family.
- Provide feedback to families and clinic teams.
- Write reports with recommendations.
- Design and carry out neuropsychological assessments in order to relate current cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning to a child’s neurodevelopmental, medical/neurological history.
- Collaborate with a large and diverse inter-professional health care team.
- Integrate research and practice.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- A Ph.D. in Clinical or Neuropsychology from a CPA or APA accredited program or equivalent.
- Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario as a Clinical Neuropsychologist.
- Evidence-based care and practice.
- Proficiency with interviewing and educating families.
- Proficiency in neuropsychological assessment and diagnosis of children age 4-18, with developmental and neurological disorders.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in culturally competent practice, and extensive understanding of the importance of health equity, diversity, and inclusion in the delivery of healthcare services.
- Proficiency in the use of electronic platforms such as Microsoft Office, hospital documentation systems and other relevant technology.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, written and oral communication skills.
- Training in the scientist/clinician model of care.

**Employment Type**: Temporary, Part-time (2 year contract at 22.5 hours per week) with Modified Benefits.
