Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saskatoon and Area, Inc. is hiring an Igniting the Warrior Within Coordinator to begin January 1, 2023 and continue until August 31, 2025. (This is a new pilot program with possibility of continuing on beyond 2025.) This program will pair Mentees with mental health conditions to Mentors.

Position is hybrid with work from home and office required.

**Major Responsibilities**

Service Delivery
- Actively recruit, screen and maintain adult volunteers or mentors to be matched with children and youth in order that
- The program objectives are met
- The development of friendship, activities and mutual respect is fostered
- Maintain and provide service to school-based volunteer / child matches.
- Inform families of acceptance or denial of service.
- Make referrals to other organizations and agencies that may provide beneficial services to these families.
- Responsible for the closure of volunteer and child files.
- Complete the volunteer and child exit interviews.
- Preparation of all administrative forms including notes, statistical recording, and program support
- Ensure data input and the updating of data and other reporting/record keeping is being done in a timely and efficient manner as specified in the Standards of BBBSC.
- Comply with National standards, contracts, licenses and applicable legislation. Ensure all necessary documentation related to the program/project is in place.
- Maintain confidentiality of all files and information regarding families, volunteers, staff, and Board.

Program Development
- Will be actively involved in the development, evaluation, and revisions of this new program

Establishing and Supporting Community Partnerships
- Liaisonwith schools, other youth service agencies, community groups, clubs, participants, volunteers and the public in general.
- Represent the BBBSS agency with businesses allowing their staff work release time to Mentor
- Represent the BBBSS agency with universities, colleges, and academies that encourage their students to volunteer with BBBSS
- Represent the BBBSS agency at partner school functions including but not limited to back-to-school breakfasts; Round Dances, Powwows and / or Feasts; volunteer teas; graduation ceremonies
- Help organize and attend fundraising and recognition events where business and educational partners are invited.
- Arrange for suitable recognition of business and educational institutions seasonally and at the end of the school year.
- Attend and represent the BBBSS agency and programs as required at meetings and evening functions of related organizations.
- Work with media and other promotional activities, as required. Assist in the development of print materials associated with the program.
- Represent the BBBSS agency on school based BBBSC committees
- Work as part of the team, with Board, management, committees, volunteers, and staff.
