Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saskatoon and Area, Inc. is hiring an Igniting the Warrior Within Coordinator to begin August 28, 2023 and continue until October 31, 2025. (This is a new pilot program with possibility of continuing on beyond 2025.) This program will pair Mentees with mental health conditions to Mentors.

Position is hybrid with work from home and office required.

**Key Responsibility Areas**

**Service Delivery**
- Actively recruit, screen, and maintain adult volunteers or mentors to be matched with children and youth that:

- The program objectives are met
- The development of friendships, activities and mutual respect is fostered
- Maintain and provide service to school-based volunteers/child matches
- Complete the closure of volunteer and child files
- Complete the volunteer, family, and child exit interviews
- Prepare all administrative forms including notes, statistical recordings, and program support
- Ensure data input and the updating of data and other reporting/record keeping is being done in a timely and efficient manner as specified in the Standards of BBBSC
- Comply with National standards, contracts, licenses, and applicable legislation and ensure all necessary documentation related to the program/project is in place
- Maintain confidentiality of all files and information regarding families, volunteers, staff, and Board
- Inform families of acceptance or denial of service
- Make referrals to other organizations and agencies that may provide beneficial services to these families

**Program Development**
- Provide input in the development, implementation, and evaluation of present and potential programs

**Establishing and Supporting Community Partnerships**
- Liaison with schools, other youth service agencies, community groups, clubs, participants, volunteers, and the public in general
- Represent BBBSS agency with businesses allowing their staff work release time to Mentor
- Attend meetings to establish and maintain these partnerships
- Liaison with the businesses and their partner schools to monitor these partnerships
- Arrange for and attend any seasonal parties, field trips, etc. that the business might wish to organize with its mentees
- Represent BBBSS agency with universities, colleges and academics that encourage their students to volunteer with BBBSS
- Attend meetings to establish and maintain these partnerships
- Attend university, college and academic career and volunteer fairs
- Liaison with the universities, colleges, academies, and their partner schools to monitor these partnerships
- Arrange for and attend any seasonal parties, field trips, etc. that that the mentors might wish to organize with their mentees
- Attend and represent BBBSS agency and programs as required at meetings and evening functions of related organizations
