**The opportunity**
Reporting to the Manager of Employee and Corporate Communications, the Communications Specialist is a highly creative individual who will provide support to the corporate communications team, to create effective brand experiences for team members and key stakeholders.
Chorus offers a hybrid working environment, with the office location at the Chorus corporate offices in Dartmouth NS.
**A snapshot of what you will be involved with**:
- Create reports, graphics, podcasts, and video content using Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Take ownership of Chorus’ LinkedIn profile by establishing social media content based on, press releases, internal initiatives, and successes.
- Assist in developing content for Chorus' internal communications, website, intranet, and subsidiary brands as required.
- Take the lead in creating and designing content for Chorus' internal diversity newsletter, Seen and Heard.
- Ensure corporate communications meet or exceed accessible communications guidelines.
- Support the corporate communications team by providing administrative assistance, including managing Ariba (procurement) for the department, team policy compliance, document control and coordinating translation services when necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
**What will help you succeed?**
- The role requires a minimum of two years of experience in any of the following fields: public relations, communications, marketing, business, graphic design, or a related field.
- Strong writing skills.
- Technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro), Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience using the WordPress content management system.
- Knowledge of accessible communications practices.
- Knowledge and experience in video production, graphic design / visual storytelling, and layout.
- A natural curiosity with a strong willingness to learn and try new things.
**Salary and Benefits**
Job type: This is a full-time, permanent position, 37.5 hours per week. Salary: A competitive compensation package, based on experience and qualifications.

3. Short form written content: Provide an example of your ability to condense information and communicate concisely. This can be a sample of your writing that effectively conveys key points in a clear and succinct manner, such as a summary, brief article, or social media content.
