As the Identity and Access Management Analyst, you are a team player who exercises a combination of strong technical skills with customer service during the performance of duties. The primary focus of the work involves advanced support and maintenance activities of the City of Edmonton’s critical Enterprise Identity and Access Management technologies and Microsoft Active Directory service. This includes implementations, upgrades, and integrations with other City of Edmonton technologies. The Identity and Access Management Analyst will be involved in high level interactions with business stakeholders, other technology teams, and vendors.

Your success will be measured by your ability to achieve timely results in the context of a respectful, inclusive and service-minded style. With a focus on the City of Edmonton’s Cultural Commitments to be Safe, Helpful, Accountable, Integrated and Excellent, you will:

- Provide technical support to clients using the City of Edmonton’s Identity and Access Management and Microsoft Active Directory system. This includes conducting workshops for business users
- Participate in technology projects related to the Identity and Access Management system, Microsoft Active Directory, Multifactor Authentication, Single Sign On, and Privileged Access Management
- Identify and correct problems with the City of Edmonton’s Enterprise Identity and Access Management system and Microsoft Active Directory, including related hardware, software, network, and server systems
- Complete requests in the Identity and Access Management and Microsoft Active Directory team’s ticket queue. Ensure tickets are completed properly and in a timely manner
- Ensure that all work performed follows established Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management processes
- Coordinate resolution of incidents, problems, and the implementation of changes with clients, other support teams, and vendors
- Perform administrative tasks such as the development of access management policies, standards, and specifications for the Corporate Information Security Office
- Research and stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in identity and access management, directory services, privileged access management, single sign on, and multifactor authentication
- Perform related duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a degree in a related discipline and 1 year relevant experience:

- or Post secondary diploma in a related discipline and 2 years relevant experience
- or 1 year related certificate and 4 years relevant experience
- In depth knowledge of information and access management industry best practices, strategies and principles as a means of relating business needs to security controls is a must
- Good working technical knowledge of Enterprise Identity and Access Management and Microsoft Active Directory systems is a must
- Must have experience with, and good working knowledge of: Windows Logon Authentication processes, user and group management in Microsoft Active Directory including Group Policy Objects (GPOs), security patching and hardening of domain controllers, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environments including certificate authority and renewals
- Must have experience with Active Directory management tools such as NetIQ DRA, AD Manager Plus, Remedy, Directory Opus, as well as logging, performance monitoring tools, and scripting tools such as Powershell
- Knowledge of directory services deployment and maintenance into the cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Experience using the Google Suite of products such as Gmail, G Drive, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides/Forms, etc.
- Strong verbal and written skills are required to communicate with colleagues, members of other technical teams, and with non-technical clients/stakeholders
- Ability to participate in a 7/24 on-call support system that may require onsite presence
- Knowledge of ITIL processes
