Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Corporate Accounting & Control, this position provides a unique insight into the results for the Financial Services Business. The Manager, Corporate Accounting, Financial Services is an essential part of the Accounting group and will require experience presenting key messages and variance analysis to senior leaders. Your technical expertise and analytical skills are critical for success, as is your ability to communicate, collaborate and manage a team with multiple projects and deadlines.

**What you’ll do**
- Manage the month-end close and present the monthly results of the Financial Services businesses to internal stakeholders including the analysis of significant variances, key metrics, and business trends
- Oversee the preparation and completion of the annual audited financial statements for Canadian Tire Bank (“CTB”), Glacier Credit Card Trust and Holdings Companies in accordance with IFRS
- Provide accurate and timely reports and analysis to Management and the CTB Audit Committee
- Lead and manage our securitization accounting and reporting requirements for Glacier Credit Card Trust
- Ensure all key controls are being monitored and executed
- Build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, CTC External Reporting, Internal Audit, Certification, and external auditors).
- Identify and execute process improvements
- Provide recommendations on accounting treatment for transactions, business initiatives and contracts in accordance with IFRS
- Gain a deep understanding of CTC’s Financial Services businesses
- Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate a team of six direct reports

**What you bring**
- University Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
- CPA designation
- 8+ years progressive experience in Finance or Accounting with at least 3 years as a People Manager
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with various functions across the organization
- Attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Strong financial, diagnostic, and analytical skills
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in an environment responsive to changing business requirements
- Creative and courageous, with the ability to manage in an environment of change and ambiguity to help us take bold, strategic moves in this rapidly evolving retail and financial services environment
