We are currently hiring a Accounts Payable Associate in the Hub Financial Center (HFC), thecentralized accounting team for HUB International.The Accounts Payable Associate position reports directly to the Accounts Payables Supervisor and functions as an integral part of the team. Key responsibilities include processing supplier invoices and check requests on a daily basis in the ERP system in an accurate and timely manner.

What you’ll do

Communicate with branch staff and managers to ensure proper processing and approvals on supplier invoices

Update Oracle invoices waiting to be processed to enable validation and routing for approval

Identify gaps in supplier set up and report back to AP Sr. Associate with required changes

Contribute to a cooperative team environment in which cross functions are assumed as necessary in order to meet department deadlines and goals

Provide direct support to the Accounts Payables Supervisor as required

What you bring to our team

At least 1 year of experience in the accounting field

Experience in a shared services accounting environment preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic Word and Excel skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

High degree of accuracy with a good eye for detail

Self-motivated and proactive

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment

Must have some flexibility of work hours and have ability to potentially put in extra hours during peak times
