**Job Summary**
- Falling under the portfolio of the Vice Provost, Equity and Inclusion, and reporting to the Director of Human Rights and Equity Services, the Advisor supports the work of HRES policies. This position acts as a resource to senior administration, managers and the University community on issues pertaining to personal harassment, all forms of discrimination including sexual violence and with a focus on racialized discrimination, violence and associate trauma.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Receive and provide trauma-informed response to reported concerns about discrimination; racialized violence; personal harassment and sexualized violence.
- Advise survivors/complainants and make appropriate referrals to other campus or external resources; Advise parties on policy and process options.
- Provide coaching to individual and managers on responding to disclosures of sexualized violence OR complaints of personal harassment/conflict, including coaching to individuals and managers to assist in mediation.
- Collaborate with colleagues within HRES and other university units to design and deliver customized education on themes relating to HRES policy areas including, but not limited to discrimination, racialized violence, personal harassment. inclusive working and learning environment, instructor - student relationships, and sexualized violence.
- Ensure electronic tracking of case files and proper storage of confidential paper files;
- Review and update policy as required.

**Note**
Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.

**Required Qualifications**
- University degree with considerable related experience, training and knowledge of harassment issues, trauma-informed practice, human rights, mediation, and restorative approaches (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Proven experience in handling highly sensitive issues in a complex environment, with a commitment to maintain confidentiality and neutrality required.
- Excellent judgment, with well-developed analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with an open and creative approach to problem solving are essential.
- Knowledge and experience in developing workshops and training materials required.
