Front of House Manager

**Summary**

Reporting to Ownership, the Front of House Manager is responsible for overseeing all Front of House operations. The Front of House Manager shapes our customer’s experience by maintaining the Brew Pub’s appearance, hiring & training quality staff and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Front of House Manager must have experienced interpersonal skills with organizational and leadership skills. A talent for conflict resolution is also important for addressing customer complaints and handling staff disputes. This position will require a flexible work schedule for approximately 40-44 hours per week with variances based on weather, seasonality and needs of the business. Evening, weekend and holiday availability is mandatory.

‪**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Supervise day to day operations of the front of house staff.
- Determine required staffing levels and work with HR to hire staff as required.
- Address performance issues with staff.
- Schedule front of house staff on a weekly basis.
- Perform daily reconciliations.
- Coordinate group bookings and events with customers, including coordination of menus with kitchen and bar staff.
- Act as the point of contact for customer service inquiries.
- Book live music entertainment.
- Update menus as required.
- Fill in or provide extra capacity on the floor as required.
- At all times to be aware of and practice good customer service, assisting the guest in any way which does not adversely affect other customers.
- Attend to customer complaints satisfactorily.
- Be continually aware of and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress.
- Attend meetings and training courses as required.
- Any other duties as assigned.

‪**Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications**
- Minimum College Diploma required.
- Previous serving and/or bartending experience of 3-5 years.
- Previous restaurant supervisory/management experience an asset.
- Post secondary education in hospitality management an asset.
- Exceptional professional communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with Aloha Point of Sale and OpenTable an asset.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Professional appearance and manners.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Overtime as required.
- Lifting or moving up to 20lbs may be required.
- Availability to work in high stress, fast paced environment..
