As Line and Prep Cook you will be taking part in preparing food for all menu items. This role is diverse in that sometimes you are required to help cover other positions within the trailer - so you must be open to guest services and helping where needed from time to time.
**Responsibilities**:
- Follow prep lists
- Label, stock and rotate all ingredients
- Operate kitchen equipment and conduct yourself in a safe manner
- Comply with Food Safe standards
- Prepare ingredients by washing and chopping, make dressings and sauces (measure ingredients)
- Ensure all food is stored properly
- Prepare menu items such are burgers, sandwiches, salads
- Basic cooking when required at slower times to help cover breaks - or have the skills and flexibility to do both prep and cook roles/shifts
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in work areas by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces and taking out trash
- Stocking
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience preparing food and working in a fast paced kitchen
- Food Safe Level 1
- You are comfortable working with a small team
- You are comfortable working in a kitchen where you have customer interaction from time to time and have the ability to create a unique guest experience
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment
- Ability to prepare food to standard recipes or customized for customers
- Ability to think ahead and manage par levels
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent cleanliness and organization
- Excellent customer service
- Fast learner who is eager to work with a strong work ethic
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Work as a team
Starting wage $18/hr plus an amazing tip pool
Full time and part time seasonal employment available.
Starting Date May 7th (second hire could start a bit later)
Staff meal provided with each shift
